The mission? To spot wildlife, of course! On her journey, she sleeps beneath the stars, learns about the nearby active volcanoes, crosses paths with a herd of majestic African bush elephants, and even helps a group of indigenous Mbuti people rescue one of the rarest creatures on earth… a mountain gorilla!
This Letter From Afar is a spirited one that dives into the magic of a very misunderstood part of the world. The DRC is commonly known as an extremely dangerous country and is not widely visited like other neighboring destinations…. But I hope this letter gives some attention to its MANY treasures and wonders.
